Light air. Definitely not a 150 mile day today, but we're finding the calm seas and slow pace a welcome break, and the sunshine especially nice.
We worked on a few projects, did laundry, dried out the boat. We've been flying the spinnaker all day using the boom to pole it out (Wiley would not stop talking about this technique, so we had to try it – you're right Wiley, it's pretty slick). The air is light enough that we're not running the main as it causes the chute to backfill, and the main just flogs in the waves. The boom keeps the clew from collapsing with every rock of the mast. But, we're still moving forward.
For dinner, we're braising some short ribs (we've eaten nearly all of our tuna). Kelly came up with a dry rub and it smells like it's going to be pretty tasty.
A bunch of dolphins came by to play in the wake of the rudder. They grew tired of it before I did.
We've upset the GPS. At this pace, we're over 100 hours from our destination, so it stopped predicting our arrival time.
